It's hardly a secret that I am no fan of pickles in burgers. I simply don't think burgers require much acidity and what little some might require can usually be incorporated into the sauce.

But Burger Time uses barbecue sauce in all their burgers. So I thought maybe - just maybe - this is the one time where the use of pickles might be appropriate. As it turns out, it was. The acidity of the pickle pairs very favorably with the sweetness of the sauce.

Having said all that, pickle is still pickle at the end of the day. So points must still be deducted, as is commanded in the ancient texts. However, most of the reason for the deducted points is that I find myself missing... something. An extra ingredient, though I'm not sure what. I'm tempted to say bacon - you already have a pickle in there, might as well use its acidity to pair it with something fatty and rich.
