Tomato sauce is certainly not a common ingredient in burgers. Not unprecedented - Mangoop's Cosa Nostra comes to mind - just rare. However, unlike Cosa Nostra, this one actually achieves balance. It's an easily recommendable burger for those looking for a different flavor profile.
That being said, the burger feels a bit... basic. Safe. Inoffensive. Not necessarily a bad thing per se, just not deserving of a higher score.
On a final note: the old version apparently had chili peppers in the tomato sauce. I say "apparently" because I honestly don't remember, I only tried that burger once. We don't have to overthink it though - this one is leagues apart regardless. And the mild tomato sauce, if anything, is a feature here, not a bug.
